Samuel Joseph “Joe” James, 73, of Columbia passed away on May 25, 2012. Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Parker Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29 also at the funeral home. Joe was born February 16, 1939 in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri to Eugene and Beulah Cantor James. Joe was the owner of Beauty Rest Sleep Gallery in Columbia and he was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann of Columbia; children, Craig (Mollie) James of Washington, D.C., Kim (Jeff) Blaylock of Columbia, Chris (Ginger) James of Plano, Texas, Keith (Ursula) James of Springfield, Missouri and Kelly (Ken) Brooks of Hallsville; twelve grandchildren; four brothers and four sisters.
