Denise Reid, 73, of Columbia, Missouri passed away on April 13, 2012 at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Columbia. A reception for family and friends will follow the service at the church. Denise was born on April 4, 1939 in Nancy, France to Albert and Marie Fontenelle Brouillard and they preceded her in death. Denise grew up in France where she met Joseph Reid. They were married in 1967 and moved to Southern California to start a family. She worked in California at Banque Nationale de Paris for over 25 years until her retirement in 2005. Denise then moved to Columbia so she could spend time with her grandson, Nicholas. While in Columbia she became an active member and volunteer at Calvary Episcopal Church and she also did volunteer work at Ellis Fischel Cancer Hospital. Denise enjoyed gardening, hiking and walking but her greatest love was being around her family and friends. Survivors include her son, Mathieu (Jeannette) Reid of West Hills, California; daughter, Stephanie (Jamie) Reid-Arndt and their son, Nicholas of Columbia and many extended family members in France and Texas. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Rene’ Brouillard and Gilbert Brouillard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1900 N.
